This contribution – originally presented at a workshop of Swedish translators of Italian literature into Swedish and of Italian translators of Swedish literature into Italian: Workshop för italienska och svenska översättare, Stockholm, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, 14-15 March 2002 – develops some considerations about the translation of four Swedish contemporary texts, in which a matter of great importance is represented by the interaction, the fusion or the juxtaposition of different linguistic varieties (texts of Torgny Lindgren and Göran Tunström). After an analysis of the literary strategies enacted by Lindgren and Tunström with regard to linguistic invention, the author of the contribution advances some proposals about the translation strategies. Taking as a starting point the impossibility of a “dynamic equivalence” of source-texts and target-texts, Ferrari suggests how to re-create within the target-language (Italian) a parallel interaction of linguistic (literary and non literary) varieties, departing – when necessary – from the grammatical norms.

Abstract
Taking as a starting point the impossibility of a “dynamic equivalence” of source-texts and target-texts, Ferrari suggests how to re-create within the target-language (Italian) a parallel interaction of linguistic (literary and non literary) varieties, departing – when necessary – from the grammatical norms.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
