Abstract

Starting from three different research lines – 1. the work of the Rodotà’s Commission, 2. Elinor Ostrom’s contributions, 3. the theory of conflicting values by Alois Riegl - I propose a discourse able to support the institution of Brera as a common good. Then I try to coordinate this argument with Keynes ‘perspective, in which the financing of cultural goods as commons is designed to contain the speculative motive and the propensity to hoard in a world corrupted by love for money.
