This paper focuses on the figure of Eugène Dévaud, with particular attention to his life, his main works and the reception of his thought in Italy between the Thirties and the Fifties. He is well-known as one of the most important scholar who tried to reach a point of convergence between Activism and Catholic Pedagogy, through the proposal of an active school according to the Christian order.
