This article focuses on the relationship between media and education in Italy. How do the media look at what is happening in our schools and universities? What relevance do they give to the topic education? Are there still any journalists who deal with policy and school administration? These are some of the questions that guide this study: the first part is directed to daily newspapers, the second part concerns newspapers on-line on this issue and websites of trade unions and professional associations. The paper ends with some brief notes on the use of social networks and in particular Twitter.
