Abstract

The histories of science and logic are witnesses of various logical concepts that were proposed as foundations of the possibility of knowledge. In the 19th century, logic changed significantly with regards to previous developments thanks to Gottlob Frege. Today, we know that his attempt to find the basis of mathematics did not succeed. However, after several theoretical difficulties related to this unsuccessful search, logicians set new objectives by analyzing thinking forms that were not looked at before. It was in this context that Jean-Blaise Grize’s natural logic was proposed. Rooted in genetic epistemology, it became a new path for understanding logic because it was seen as having a different logical role as a result of its theoretical standing.
