In the wider framework of State´s transformation started by the Evo Morales, first indigenous Government in Bolivia, the research project analyses the new Education Law “Avelino Siñani- Elizardo Pérez” promulgated in 2010. In particular, the research project aims at understanding the role of Education within the process of decolonization and the transformation of no egalitarian societies, in terms of system of power, rights and socio-economic conditions. The Bolivian Education Reform is considered as an instrument to de-colonize the education apparatus from the western-colonial pattern of knowledge and to promote an intra-intercultural and bilingual approach to education, inspired by the indigenous notion of “Vivir Bien”. To this end, the study analyses the challenges in its implementation in the field, and its relations and contradictions with the other state policies to understand coherence and incoherence of the global decolonization’s process.
