The book traces the history of 14 major exhibitions designed in Italy from 1949 to 1963. Following the material traces left by the curators, architects, museum directors, istitutional profiles involved in each of them, the essay delves into an "epic" moment in the history of exhibitions, pointing out at the multiple connection among the curatorial discourse and its spatial translations by architects such as Franco Albini, Luciano Baldessari, Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni, and many others.
