L'uomo diventato donna e altri racconti

The book contains the original texts and the Italian translations of three short stories by Sherwood Anderson: "I Want to Know Why" (1919); "I'm a Fool" (1923); "The Man Who Became a Woman" (1923). The stories, all set in the milieu of horse races, revolve around the theme of initiation into adulthood, addressing concerns about gender identity and sexual orientation. The texts are preceded by an introductory essay and are followed by an apparatus of translation notes, by a bio-biograhical note about the author, and by an annotated bibliography.
