Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of corruption on the private and public investments in Cote d’Ivoire and to study their impacts on the economic growth. In addition, we try to appreciate the impact of the Ivoirian military and politic crisis on the economic performances. The corruption scale and the democratic practice life are often mentioned as the principles factors which affect the volume of public and private investments. With data of World Development Indicators (WDI) and Transparency International (TI) from 1998 to 2009, we show with an empirical approach that the corruption is a factor of overestimation of the investments amount in Côte d’Ivoire and this fact has hereafter pernicious effects on the economic growth. The stability test indicates that the Ivorian crisis affected differently the economic growth of the Union’s countries. Then the study recommends a better consciousness rising of the political and economical actors on the inconveniences of corruption and unconstitutional changes. The paper also suggests the creation of a national authority endowed with exceptional power to take disciplinary action against all the corruption forms.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
