Ongoing identities, inequalities, similarities. This volume explores different contexts and research objects, always keeping the bar on these three elements. The first part focuses on the present, in the light of the most recent socio-cultural transformations, including the Covid-19 pandemic and new wars. The second part delves into specific issues such as vulnerability, counter-narratives, bodies and care. The third part is methodological, with specific attention to the epistemology of the South and visual sociology. Overall, an innovative method is experimented with – in the structure and in the way of writing – and tools are offered not only for sociological research, fuelled by a continuous dialogue with particularly up-to-date literature. The frequent incursions into philosophy and anthropology aim to take on perspectives that overcome opposing and irreconcilable dualistic divisions and enhance connections and reciprocal interdependencies, in a close interweaving of similar individualities, relationships, otherness. Because this world will not make us bad.
Identità in movimento, disuguaglianze, somiglianze.
