The book is the catalogue of an exhibition at Teatro Riccardo Zandonai and Mart (Rovereto, Italy, 17 December 2024-6 January 2025). The exhibition and the book are the occasion of a research about the collaboration of Italian architect Baldessari and composer Zandonai; the refusal of Baldessari's sketches reveals the resistances of the Italian culture between the two world wars towards the new way of conceiving scene design developed in Central Europe.
