The online circulation of the Manosphere represents one of the most discussed and controversial phenomena of recent years. It consists of a collection of blogs, forums and sites that share three salient features: the ferocious critique of feminism, the narrative of a victimized masculinity, and the approaching of extremist political positions such as the far-right and alt-right. These lead to the emergence of a resentful imagery that can exploit the viral humor of memes to propagate to the more mainstream social platforms as well, affectively engaging younger users. The objective of the present research is to explore its contents and modes in the social most influenced by memetic and imitative interactions: TikTok. In this regard, at the theoretical level, the perspective of the sociology of the sacred and the imaginary is adopted, employing René Girard's mimetic theory to interpret the Manosphere as a particular configuration of Caricatural Ultra-Christianity, this one consisting of a violent form of victimhood with by which to accuse and persecute new scapegoats. At the methodological level, through ethnographic investigation, the research arrives at the formulation of categories and subcategories through which to offer an understanding of this Ultra-Caricatural dimension of masculinity on the Chinese platform. It arrives at results with which, finally, it questions the possible developments of the Manosphere, which is increasingly oscillating between processes of memetic radicalization and Brainrot-defined jumbles of trashy and nonsensical content.
