The chain of events triggered by the events of 1992 had the very momentous consequence of a new, strong and wholly unexpected centrality of Europe in the world. These days a lot of processes beginning with this date are intensified and exacerbated. But the final outcome of the present phase of globalization changes radically Europe's role and positioning: no more the world's centre but a province of theirs, however very singular. What are the opportunities opened by this dramatic change.
