The thesis wants to be an analysis of the evolution of labor paradigms (and with them of the implied production paradigms) to check whether the impacts of the so-called Industry 4.0 can configure a new labor model in the enterprise. Its starting point is the consideration that Industry 4.0 is not only a technological paradigm but that its impact will be important also in terms of production cycles and above all socio-economic impact of work organization. To verify this, the chapters analyze Fordism, post-Fordism and Industry 4.0 according to a theoretical framework that takes into consideration the elements of production, the conceptualization of worker, the industrial relations system and the welfare model underpinning the three production and labor paradigms. Notably, after an introduction of the new production model in digital manufacturing, the final part of this thesis provides a broad analysis of the phenomenon of Industry 4.0 from the viewpoint of labor and industrial relations, thus filling an important gap left by literature so far.

Abstract
Notably, after an introduction of the new production model in digital manufacturing, the final part of this thesis provides a broad analysis of the phenomenon of Industry 4.0 from the viewpoint of labor and industrial relations, thus filling an important gap left by literature so far.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
