This research, which is in progress, has like main purpose a prosopography about activities and legacies of every public official, soldier, merchant and clergy man who travelled towards East or viceversa who came upper the river Po and introduced a new look on the East. With this aim I choose to pay attention to biographies of every people who was native of the area "Transpadana" or "Oriens". I choose to analyze the period between Traianus' imperium (98-117) and pope Gregory the Great's death (604 d.C.).
