This article aims to analyze the heterogeneity of Jacques-André Boiffard's photographic works, starting from the theme of the fragmented body, developed above all during the collaboration with Georges Bataille in the magazine "Documents". Starting from this theme, through an analogical procedure, this article proposes to frame Boiffard's place within the complex framework of artistic and intellectual experiences of his time.
