Here we present a tale by Halma Angelico included in the volume El Templo Profanado (1930), which represents a curious case of utopian / dystopian literature in the Spanish literature of the first third of the twentieth century. The author uses the description of a Spanish society of the future to raise a series of issues related to motherhood, the reproductive function of women and their role inside the society. It is clear the critical intention of the text and the willingness to talk about hot topics, for the time, as abortion and eugenetics theories.

The author uses the description of a Spanish society of the future to raise a series of issues related to motherhood, the reproductive function of women and their role inside the society. It is clear the critical intention of the text and the willingness to talk about hot topics, for the time, as abortion and eugenetics theories.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
