The essay investigates the role of image in L. Andreas-Salomé and R. Maria Rilke's styles. As it is known both of them shaped their style giving image a new status of significance; the essay tries to show how deep, despite the similiarities,was the difference between the role of image in Andreas.-Salomé intellectual world and the costruction of "Bild" in Rilke's poetry.
