Abstract
The aim of this essay is to study the public resources and commons in Northern Italy during the Early Middle Ages. Through the study of written sources preserved in Lombardy, from the Lombard laws to charters preserved in ecclesiastical archives (from judicial processes to sales, donations and exchanges), these pages will interpret the slow appearance of references to the forms of exploitation of public resources and commons. References which are more and more explicit and complex as the seigneurial powers favoured, from the 11th Century onwards, new forms of organization which were recorded in different kind of charters.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
