The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between green supply chain management (GSCM) internal practices and firm environmental performance within multiple countries based on a meta-analysis of correlations. Through a systematic literature search, 33 articles reporting quantitative studies, involving 6556 manufacturing companies, about the relationship object of this research have been identified. The findings reveal that GSCM internal practices lead to better environmental performance. Moreover, results show that differences in values of three Hofstede’s dimensions (namely, power distance, individualism, masculinity) significantly mediate the relationship between internal GSCM practices and environmental performance.
