Dal bridge agli esports: semplici giochi o vere attività sportive? Prime riflessioni e spunti per un dibattito

ESports represent a very complex issue in legal terms as well as in economic and technological terms. Moreover, a very interesting aspect of the actual debate focuses on if and to what extent Esports are real sports activities, such as the so-called traditional sports (basketball, football, rugby, and so on). In his paper the Author analyses the judgment of the European Court of Justice in the English Bridge Union case and starting from this ruling the Author offers a basic and concise summary of ongoing debate on the nature of Esports.
