During a trip to Bergamo between the end of February and the beginning of March 2016, the poet, novelist, literary critic, teacher and political activist Rafael Ballesteros (Málaga, 1938) wrote a poem in homage to the Italian city, to his presence in the literary tradition and to one of the corners of Città Alta where he used to sit and contemplate beauty on his morning walks, a place that becomes a source of inspiration and causes the reflection by the lyrical subject. The genesis of the composition is reflected in Cuaderno de Bérgamo, completely unpublished: it is a handwritten booklet that collects the notes that Ballesteros took during the stay and that closes with the different phases of writing “Patio. Bérgamo”. After introducing the author, presenting his original creative career and contextualizing the poem, we will focus on the genesis and the exegesis of the text that arises as a result of a mock dialogue with Torquato Tasso, a revived mentor.

Abstract
Bérgamo”. After introducing the author, presenting his original creative career and contextualizing the poem, we will focus on the genesis and the exegesis of the text that arises as a result of a mock dialogue with Torquato Tasso, a revived mentor.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
