"Sense of Coherence Scale" di Antonovsky: Un contributo alla validazione italiana

The aim of the present study was to analyse the factorial structure of the short-form (13 items) of Antonovsky’s Sense of Coherence Scale (SOCS) (1987). The SOCS measures the individual level of sense of coherence, defined as a steady way of perceiving and interpreting life events. The sample consisted of 717 Italian adult subjects. The factorial structure was examined using confirmatory factor analysis which showed a good overall fit for a model with two correlated factors, tested on 11 items. Multigroup analyses were carried out to verify the invariance of this factorial structure across age and gender.

Lo scopo del presente studio è quello di analizzare la struttura fattoriale della forma breve (13 item) della Sense of Coherence Scale (SOCS) di Antonovsky (1987). La SOCS misura il livello individuale di senso di coerenza, definito come una stabile modalità di percepire e interpretare gli eventi. Il campione è composto da 717 soggetti adulti italiani. La struttura fattoriale è stata indagata mediante analisi fattoriale confermativa che ha mostrato la bontà di un modello a due fattori correlati testato su 11 item. Sono state condotte analisi multigruppo per verificare l’invarianza per età e genere di tale struttura fattoriale.
