Rilevamento geomatico della campagna di scavo 2015 del sito archeologico in contrada S.Pietro Vetere in Aquino

Innovative tools of Surveying (Geomatics) applied to the Archaeology add a significant value to the investigations on the Cultural Heritage. A campaign of geomatic surveying held on September-October 2015 has un- earthed archaeological findings in the ancient Aquinum, along via Latina in the S.Pietro Vetere district. First activities of surveying, held till now on two excavations, refer to the ruins of a medieval church dedicated to the worship of S. Costanzo. Tiles of several shapes, fragments of marmoreous floors, with drawings of various color mosaic and tumbs with human remains and skeletons have been found. Each element, probably dated at XII century, has been restituted with precision and accuracy by using innovative topographic and photogrammetric techniques.
