The article analyzes critically an educational experience developed at the Trivulziana Archive, in the Castello Sforzesco, Milan. The project was aimed at involving excluded communities (migrants, low-income citizens etc.) in the mediation of an important exhibition about ancient miniature, both in the collection premises and in some peripheral cultural hubs such as libraries and social centres. The article describes the methodologies adopted, the activities designed (centred on the artistic techniques used in the artworks exposed), as well as the objectives achieved.
