The chapter explores the impact of the presence of Le Corbusier at the IX Triennale in Milan, connecting the documents preserved at the Triennale and those at the Fondation Le Corbusier. The complex picture emerging from this chapter highlights the cultural and political connections Le Corbusier had with some Italian colleagues, the outputs of the International Conference of 1951 as well as the personal agenda. The documents concerning the latter aspect put in perspective all the "generosity" with which Le Corbusier took part in the milanese conference, and highlight its inner, deeper reasons.

Abstract
The chapter explores the impact of the presence of Le Corbusier at the IX Triennale in Milan, connecting the documents preserved at the Triennale and those at the Fondation Le Corbusier. The complex picture emerging from this chapter highlights the cultural and political connections Le Corbusier had with some Italian colleagues, the outputs of the International Conference of 1951 as well as the personal agenda. The documents concerning the latter aspect put in perspective all the "generosity" with which Le Corbusier took part in the milanese conference, and highlight its inner, deeper reasons.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
