Pedagogy has the ambition to place at the center of its constitution the self-subject-person as it is. How can it do this if, quoting Quine, the separate disciplines as we know them, as a legacy of the Fordist twentieth century, are the stuff of librarians and school headmasters but certainly not of men of pedagogy, who aim at other whole men, capable, as such, of reliable examples of educational and formative research and above all of all-round magisterial testimony? The problem at the heart of this V Conferenza bergamasca is rather than epistemological and methodological, is precisely anthropological. Almost the natural outcome of the themes dealt with in the previous ones. But also, hopefully, the anticipation of those that will be placed with other facets at the center of future Conferences.
