The paper aims at offering a preliminary analysis of the Super League affaire taking into account the legal aspects as well the political ones. According to the Author, the previous case-law of the Court of Justice, although fundamental to correctly understand the problems involved in the Super League’s case, does not provide a complete answer to the relevant and very peculiar questions behind the Super League which call into question the very concept of the European Sports Model.
