The COVID-19 pandemic represents a non-normative event that has quickly changed our lives, by highlighting the issue of (public and private) health and preventive and promotional health behaviors. The “Fabulous Project”, born within the university course of Social Family Psychology (LUMSA University) and still in progress, is addressed to elementary school children. It has a double aim: the explanation, through a playful narrative language, of what we are living and the acknowledgement of the children’s crucial active role in hindering the virus spread. As such, children are the main characters of our fairytales: they have superpowers, namely the relational values (solidarity, solace, friendship, etc.), promote healthy behaviors, and together regain their socialization spaces (first of all, the school). The tale helps in learning new contents as well as in internalizing new patterns and elaborating emotions. The fairytales we proposed can therefore be a useful tool to help both children and the significant adults around them to move from a passive defensive position against the virus to an active and aware role.

Abstract
The fairytales we proposed can therefore be a useful tool to help both children and the significant adults around them to move from a passive defensive position against the virus to an active and aware role.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
