This paper investigates the blockchain technology from a sustainability perspective. Case study research is used within the global fashion industry to explore the application of blockchain technology for achieving transparency. The research highlights how sustainability issues can be addressed and the practical experiences and challenges encountered by two start-up technology-based firms.
