Diritto alla vita come diritto alla fragilità

The essay speaks of human frailty and, in particular, the frailty of the child. Fragility is described as an ontological condition of the human being. Fragility is then read in the relationship with vulnerability and the rights of children in a vision that interprets the possibilities/impossibilities of minors to become "authentic people", that is, their being-forced-to-be, instead, to offer the possibility of being. Therefore, the right to fragility becomes the right of children to be recognized not only as needy subjects, but also as subjects of resources to be protected and promoted. Children’s rights are relational rights.

Il saggio parla della fragilità umana e, in particolare, la fragilità del bambino. La fragilità viene descritta come una condizione ontologica dell'essere umano. La fragilità viene poi letta nella relazione con la vulnerabilità e con i diritti dei minori in una visione che interpreta le possibilità/impossibilità dei minori di divenire "persone autentiche", ovvero il loro essere-costretti-ad-essere, invece, di offrire la possibilità di essere. Quindi, il diritto alla fragilità diventa il diritto dei minori a essere riconosciuti non solo come soggetti bisognosi, ma anche come soggetti di risorse da tutelare e promuovere. I diritti dell'infanzia sono infatti diritti relazionali.
