Iconografia popolare e testo letterario: intersezioni nell'opera di F.M. Dostoevskij

This study proposes the investigation of the relationship between Dostoesky's creation and Russian popular iconography, in particular the lubok, which Dostoevsky knew and loved from childhood. Special attention is paid to the depiction of the devil in the novels and particularly in The Karamazov Brothers. The image of cert acquires a profound meaning in the novel in relation to the words and behaviour of characters such as Fedor Karamazov, Ivan Karamazov, Liza, Ferapont, and forms an unexpected and significant bond between them.

Lo studio propone un'indagine dei rapporti tra la creazione dostoevskiana e l'iconografia popolare russa, in particolare il lubok, che Dostoevskij conosceva e amava fin dall'infanzia. Particolare attenzione è dedicata alla raffigurazione del diavolo nei romanzi e in particolare nei Fratelli Karamazov. L'immagine del diavolo acquista nel romanzo un significato profondo in relazione alle parole e al comportamento dei personaggi e costituisce fra di loro un inaspettato e significativo legame.
