The essay is an attempt to reconsider Yoko Tawada's oeuvre in the light of the deconstructive mode which characterizes her narrative discourse, While discussing Tawada's peculiar confrontation with the myth of Europe, the essay particularly underlines the narrative strategies enabling the author's style to escape any language and politics of meaning based on the dogma of "national identity".
