The essay is the first critical analysis of the collection of cantari on the Legenda aurea preserved in the cod. Rieti, Bibl. Paroniana, ms. I.2.45 and attributed to one of Catherine of Siena’s disciples, Cristofano di Gano Guidini. After a preliminary study of the sylloge and its author, we offer an essay on the edition containing the only extant texts, respectively at the beginning and at the end of the collection (I. Di santo Andrea; LXXXII. De santa Caterina). The texts are accompanied by some remarks on their sources and metrics.
