Oswald Mathias Ungers, 1965: i Progetti Programmatici

Around 1965 Oswald Mathias Ungers presented a series of competition projects with a strong programmatic feature. These projects are studied in a conscious and precise way: the conceptual nature of architectural forms, the form as representation of an idea, developing in a paradigmatic way basic morphological concepts, themes, as transformation or assemblage. Highligthing attention to the context and the history and with rational poetics based on principles like multiplicity and metamorphosis, they underlined the autonomy of architectural form announcing some of the principal questions of the debate on architecture in the years to come.
