The purpose of the paper is to distinguish that particular form of eudaimonistic ethics at the center of which is the problematic of the satisfaction of human desire. After distinguishing it from a theoretical point of view, that form of ethical theory is found in the work of Augustine of Hippo. Later, some objections to that theory are raised. Finally, it is shown why Aristotle's ethical proposal is irreducible to that model.

Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to distinguish that particular form of eudaimonistic ethics at the center of which is the problematic of the satisfaction of human desire. After distinguishing it from a theoretical point of view, that form of ethical theory is found in the work of Augustine of Hippo. Later, some objections to that theory are raised. Finally, it is shown why Aristotle's ethical proposal is irreducible to that model.File allegato/i alla scheda:
