L’Enciclica Laudato si’ e l’etica originaria del cristianesimo

Lynn White has accused Christianity of being the historical root of the current ecological crisis. The encyclical of Pope Francis Laudato sì, on the other hand, lays the bases of a Christian ecological perspective. A research on its rise allows us to show that the primeval Christianity proposed a reverence for Nature and for all living beings. Therefore, the element at the origin of the Western ecological catastrophe belongs to the Greco-Roman culture rooted in the dominion over Nature.
