A novel assessment protocol was recently proposed, enabling the definition and calibration of equiva-lent damage parameters to be included in the structural models to take into account corrosion effects on RC structures. In this paper, the focus is on the effectiveness of these parameters in modelling corrosion effects and on the significance of such effects on the structural performances over time. Sensitivity analyses are carried out by means of analytical formulations and finite element analyses with fibre models, to investigate the behaviour of different type of structural members characterized by different corrosion attack patterns.

Abstract
A novel assessment protocol was recently proposed, enabling the definition and calibration of equiva-lent damage parameters to be included in the structural models to take into account corrosion effects on RC structures. In this paper, the focus is on the effectiveness of these parameters in modelling corrosion effects and on the significance of such effects on the structural performances over time. Sensitivity analyses are carried out by means of analytical formulations and finite element analyses with fibre models, to investigate the behaviour of different type of structural members characterized by different corrosion attack patterns.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
