This paper examines constitutional review in the post-communist Albanian legal system, starting from the structural and organizational aspects of the Constitutional Court. The author goes on to analyze the case law of the Court, with particular attention for decisions concerning civil and criminal procedure, the status of judges, special procedures and parliamentary law. Above all, the author focuses on decisions that deal with persons who hold high office. Finally, the author attempts to classify the Albanian constitutional justice system in the context of other legal systems in Eastern Europe.
