Prefazione [a: Laura Raicovich, Lo sciopero della cultura, Arte e musei nell'epoca della protesta, Busto Arsizio, Nomos, 2022]

The preface to the Italian edition of "Cultural Strike" by USA curator Laura Raicovich points out the relevance of the museum within the framework of the current debate concerning issues of inclusion, representation of the minorities, and social justice. The short essay reframes the debate in relationship to the Italian context, as well as providing information about the role of art museums in particular within the debate. Crossing musuem studies, education and history og contemporary art, the volume contributes to the international debate about the accountability and the agency of art museums in the "Black Lives Matter" era, and more generally in times of crisis.
