This report proposes a method for modelling conversational mutual gaze from human interaction data in a way that allows the resulting gaze controller to be used in combination with any dialog manager that controls turn-taking. It also describes a set of experimental measures that will be used to investigate the effect of the gaze controller on people's impressions of the robot and the quality of the interaction.
