This paper presents an effective hybrid Space-Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique for two-level voltage-sourced inverters. In the proposed SVPWM technique, each modulation sector is divided into two subsectors by a modulation index threshold, where two different switching sequences are applied. The main feature is no switching action during the transition of sequences required thus the minimum switching actions is achieved. The proposed technique leads to a significant reduction in total harmonic distortion of the output current and allows a significant reduction in switching losses when compared to a conventional SVPWM technique. The advantages of the proposed SVPWM technique are verified in the simulation and by experimental results.

Abstract
This paper presents an effective hybrid Space-Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique for two-level voltage-sourced inverters. In the proposed SVPWM technique, each modulation sector is divided into two subsectors by a modulation index threshold, where two different switching sequences are applied. The main feature is no switching action during the transition of sequences required thus the minimum switching actions is achieved. The proposed technique leads to a significant reduction in total harmonic distortion of the output current and allows a significant reduction in switching losses when compared to a conventional SVPWM technique. The advantages of the proposed SVPWM technique are verified in the simulation and by experimental results.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
