Space constancy was investigated in seven blindfolded left-neglect patients by driving them along routes involving one or two, left or right, 90°turns. At the end of each route patients had to indicate its starting point while still blindfolded. On average, no considerable left/right differences were found in pointing accuracy. The entailments of this finding for the understanding of neglect phenomena are briefly discussed.

Abstract

Space constancy was investigated in seven blindfolded left-neglect patients by driving them along routes involving one or two, left or right, 90°turns. At the end of each route patients had to indicate its starting point while still blindfolded. On average, no considerable left/right differences were found in pointing accuracy. The entailments of this finding for the understanding of neglect phenomena are briefly discussed.
