Plaidoyer di un sistema-scuola che non c’è

Our school system is showing in an increasingly evident way the stigma of the centuries in which it was conceived: first, in the nineteenth century, on the military paradigm and then, in the twentieth century, on that of the Fordist organization extended from industrial production to cultural production. A profound transformation of the mentality, structures, and routines to which we have been accustomed for so long is increasingly urgent. The article, as the title states, is a defense of the kind of mentality, structures, and routines that had to be already introduced in our culture decades ago.

Il nostro sistema scolastico mostra sempre più lo stigma dei secoli in cui è nato: prima, nell’Ottocento, sul paradigma militare e poi, nel Novecento, su quello dell’organizzazione fordista estesa dalla produzione industriale a quella culturale. Serve una profonda trasformazione della mentalità, delle strutture e delle routine a cui siamo da così tanto tempo abituati da sembrarci addirittura naturali. L’articolo, come recita il titolo, è appunto una difesa di mentalità, strutture e routine che sarebbe stato bene aver già da decenni iniziato a costruire e ad implementare. Per non essere sempre in ritardo.
