L’economia politica come scienza critica: la lezione di Giorgio Lunghini

Classics of political economy – Ricardo, Marx, Keynes – are not directly present in the first studies that Giorgio Lunghini dedicates to economics. The intellectual journey he undertook began with a “Critical examination of the various definitions of economic policy proposed in the last two centuries”, but the encounter with Ricardo, Marx and Keynes dates back to the mid-1970s. The study of these economists will allow Giorgio Lunghini to take possession of new categories through which he will be able to re-articulate some of the reflections that had characterized the first 15 years of his activity as an economist, until he proposed “Heretical policies for full employment” by rereading in an original way the process of accumulation after the crisis of Fordism.
