Abstract
On the special auctoritas of Hyginus in Sein und Zeit by Martin Heidegger · Dealing with Sorge, Heidegger reserves § 42 of Sein und Zeit to Hyginus, citing his fabula 220 in Latin followed by his interpretative translation into German. Why did Heidegger reserve to a minor author such as Hyginus the confirmation role about the existential interpretation of Dasein as cura? Hence i) it will be illustrated how Heidegger arrived at a hidden text like fabula 220, investigating the essay written by Burdach from which he draws the fabula; ii) there will be investigated the rescue of Hyginus as inserted into the philological period all around Heidegger; moreover we will examine Heidegger’s transition from the philological order to the speculative one, re-molding Hyginus’ text to new life; iii) Heidegger approaches Hyginus’ cure to Stoic and New Testament μέριμνα (just as Vulgate sollicitudo): it will be pointed out that the fundamental guidelines of this operation want to found a philosophical philology, shaping a new GreekChristian anthropology. In conclusion it will be shawn that Hyginus is not in Heidegger an erudite exhibition but the way of Romanitas to the preontological self-interpretation of Dasein, which has its own destiny in the contemporary world.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
