L’uso della tecnologia Blockchain nel settore delle pubbliche amministrazioni: tra “mito” e realtà giuridica

The essay aims to assess the legal implications arising out of Blockchain technology in the Public sector. The background is an analysis of this technology and its main features in order to highlight which aspects may be more relevant for the organization and services of Public Authorities. As a result, some concrete forms of employment of Blockchain technology for the provision of public services are examined (i.e. smart contracts and cryptocurrencies). In the end, the focus is on the coherence between Blockchain archetype and the public status of Public authorities.
