This study systematically reviews 112 empirical articles on the effect of Entrepreneurship Education from 2010 to 2020. The findings demonstrate that past research aims to evaluate the impacts of entrepreneurship courses still focus on outcomes strictly related to the entrepreneurial field and venture creation. Taking advantage of the Human Capital Theory (Becker, 1964), we demonstrate that a specific task-related investment in human capital, such as Entrepreneurship Education, could lead to both task-related and non-task-related outcomes. In addition, this study provides a research agenda to detect which specific categories of outcomes have not been so deeply studied and need to be investigated, particularly considering the non- cognitive skills and abilities useful to underpin success in many domains and not only for those students who want to become entrepreneurs.

Abstract
This study systematically reviews 112 empirical articles on the effect of Entrepreneurship Education from 2010 to 2020. The findings demonstrate that past research aims to evaluate the impacts of entrepreneurship courses still focus on outcomes strictly related to the entrepreneurial field and venture creation. Taking advantage of the Human Capital Theory (Becker, 1964), we demonstrate that a specific task-related investment in human capital, such as Entrepreneurship Education, could lead to both task-related and non-task-related outcomes. In addition, this study provides a research agenda to detect which specific categories of outcomes have not been so deeply studied and need to be investigated, particularly considering the non- cognitive skills and abilities useful to underpin success in many domains and not only for those students who want to become entrepreneurs.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
