Qualities and competencies considered essential for business creation still tend to be viewed as masculine, though women are one of the fastest rising populations in the entrepreneurship field and Entrepreneurship Education (EE) could be one possible method to increase their prevalence rate. In fact, entrepreneurship courses could generate confidence in women’s entrepreneurial capabilities through support and advice. However, there are differences between male and female students in how they achieve specific entrepreneurial learning outcomes. Using a sample of 375 Italian students from 42 different courses and 16 universities that attended EE courses and answered the Italian GUESSS 2018, we investigate the relationship between EE teaching models and students’ learning outcomes and we test the influential role of gender in the effectiveness of different teaching models. We both considered the gender of students and parent entrepreneurs as moderators of this relationship.
