While employees predisposed to entrepreneurship are crucial for creating entrepreneurial organizations, we do not know much about how employees develop their employee entrepreneurial orientation in the context of incumbent organizations. To address this gap, drawing upon human capital theory, we hypothesize that the use of agile practices allows employees to develop digital skills, which in turn enable them to increase their entrepreneurial orientation. We also hypothesize that individual ambidexterity positively moderates the relationship between digital skills and employee's entrepreneurial orientation. We test and find support for our hypotheses on a sample of 299 employees working for a large IT company. Our findings contribute to both research and practice on corporate entrepreneurship.
